TOPEKA—The Kansas Supreme Court is accepting public comment on a proposed rule that would require municipal courts to provide information and submit reports to either the Supreme Court or the judicial administrator.

Proposed Rule 1203 identifies areas of responsibility and grants the judicial administrator authority to establish the manner and form for reports from municipal courts.

The proposed rule would replace an existing Supreme Court order regarding reporting.

Public comment on the new rule may be made by email to publiccomments@kscourts.org until noon Saturday, January 14. The subject line must read “Rule 1203.”
