Transfer Uniform Bar Exam scores from Kansas

The Kansas Board of Law Examiners uses the Uniform Bar Examination score transcript services provided by the National Conference of Bar Examiners to transfer Uniform Bar Examination scores earned in Kansas to other jurisdictions. The National Conference of Bar Examiners will not release any Uniform Bar Examination score information until after your scores are released by the Kansas Board of Law Examiners.

You must take the Multistate Essay Exam, the Multistate Performance Test, and the Multistate Bar Exam in order to earn a portable Uniform Bar Examination score that can be transferred to seek admission in other jurisdictions.

Transfer a Multistate Bar Exam score

The Kansas Board of Law Examiners will accept a Multistate Bar Exam score transferred from another jurisdiction provided the requirements are met.

Supreme Court Rule 709(m): Admission to the Bar upon Written Examination

If you transfer a Multistate Bar Exam score to Kansas and you take only the essay portion of the examination, you will not earn a Uniform Bar Exam score. Your score can be used only to seek admission in Kansas. 

 

Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam

The Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam is administered by the Law School Admission Council on behalf of the National Conference of Bar Examiners. You can access the online Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam registration only through your National Conference of Bar Examiners account.

You must request the National Conference of Bar Examiners to report your Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam score directly to Kansas. You cannot submit your score.
