Justice Eric Rosen is a Topeka native. After earning a bachelor's degree and a master's degrees with honors at the University of Kansas, he received a law degree from Washburn University School of Law. He was in private practice and worked as an assistant district attorney and as associate general counsel for the Kansas Securities Commissioner before being named a district court judge for the 3rd Judicial District. He served 12 years before being named to the Supreme Court.
