Internal Operating Guidelines for the Judicial Branch Education Fund


All programs and expenditures of the Fund shall be under the control and subject to the approval of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court shall determine the appropriate programs and expenditures within the contemplated purposes of the Fund. The Supreme Court shall have broad power and discretion in utilizing the Fund for the purpose of providing education and training for the Kansas court system.
A. Primary Provider
The primary provider of education and training for both judicial and nonjudicial personnel, under the direction of the Supreme Court, is the Office of Judicial Administration.
B. General Administration
The Office of Judicial Administration shall oversee and coordinate the day to day operations and administration of the Fund, subject to directions from the Supreme Court. The Office of Judicial Administration shall study and review the programs and expenditures of the Fund, study and propose programs for future consideration, explore and recommend potential outside sources for additional funding consistent with the purposes of the Fund, review suggestions for programs and expenditures made by other parties, and prepare reports to the Supreme Court. The Office of Judicial Administration will provide the necessary staff for effective and efficient administration of the Fund and all expenses, including salaries, incurred in such administration shall be paid by the Fund.
