You and the Courts of Kansas - Conclusion

The Kansas courts play important roles in your life.

When you get married or divorced, drive a car, buy or sell goods or property, and even after your death, the state courts are available to protect your rights and to enforce your responsibilities.

If you are a victim of crime, are accused of committing a crime, or witness a crime, you may be required to appear in a Kansas court.

This pamphlet was published by the Office of Judicial Administration to answer questions you, the citizens of Kansas, may have about your court system. The preceding pages present an overview of Kansas' courts--how they work and how they affect you.
