Labette County is located in the southern most part of Kansas, bordering the Oklahoma State line to the south. It is approximately 649 square miles; the estimated 2000 population is 22,835, with the county seat located in Oswego, Kansas. The District Court has two divisions; one located in Parsons and the other located in Oswego as described below. GENERAL INFORMATION
All record search requests need to be in writing. Copies of documents are 25 cents per page. Hourly search fee is $12.00. Case numbers, if available, will speed processing. A general rule is if the case number ends in "PA," it is a Parsons case and if it ends in "OS," it is an Oswego case.
