Complaint against a Judge

BEFORE YOU COMPLETE THIS FORM:

  • Please read the Supreme Court Rules Relating to Judicial Conduct to determine if you think a Kansas judge has violated any of the Judicial Canons.

  • Please review the brochure which describes the functions of the Commission on Judicial Qualifications. Note in particular the examples of functions which the Commission cannot perform.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Please provide all specific facts and circumstances which you believe constitute judicial misconduct or disability.

  • Attach any relevant documents which directly support your claim. Highlight or otherwise identify those sections that you rely on to support your claim. Do not include documents which do not directly support or relate to the complaint. For example, do not submit a copy of your entire court file.

  • Once the Complaint is loaded, click on the first blank and then tab to proceed to the next question. You will be able to type in the blanks provided, and many have multi-line capabilities. Remember to use the tab key to move to the next field and the enter key to enter multiple lines. For all check boxes, you will need to use your mouse to click in the appropriate box. If you prefer, you can print the report and complete in legible handwriting.

  • Return completed Complaint to:
