Kansas Board of Law Examiners
Law Student Information

Law students who have completed a minimum of sixty hours of legal study from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association are eligible to apply for a Legal Intern permit, provided they are able to meet other additional requirements stated in Rule 719.

Students interested in obtaining a Legal Intern permit should complete the Legal Intern application and submit the completed application with the required documentation to Attorney Admissions for processing.

Legal Intern permits will be mailed to the student and the law school once issued.

The Board recommends law students take the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE) prior to making application to sit for the bar examination.
