Supreme Court Electronic Filing Committee

The Supreme Court Electronic Filing Committee was tasked with studying electronic filing of court cases and documents in Kansas. Justice Marla J. Luckert served as chair of the committee, with Justice Dan Biles serving as vice chair. Judges, court administrators and clerks, attorneys specializing in collection matters and other members of the legal community, and the chairs of both the House and Senate Judiciary Committees served on the committee.

The committee made recommendations to the Supreme Court regarding policy decisions that would be necessitated should a statewide electronic filing system be implemented in Kansas. The committee was divided into three subcommittees to address policy and procedure, finance, and technology.
