Appeal No. 88,933: State v. Jerome G. Carter

The court, in a unanimous decision authored by Justice Carol A. Beier, affirms the defendant's Sedgwick County convictions of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and criminal possession of a firearm, which arose from a Wichita home invasion.

Appeal No. 89,672: State v. Dajuan Wilkerson

The court, in a unanimous decision authored by Justice Carol A. Beier, affirms the defendant's Sedgwick County convictions of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder, which arose from the Wichita murder of Damene Lattimore and attempted murder of Adeana Gibson.

Appeal No. 89,127: State v. Tuan C. Huynh

The court, in a unanimous decision authored by Justice Carol A. Beier, affirms a Sedgwick County decision denying Huynh's motion to withdraw his guilty plea to first-degree murder.

Appeal No. 87,294: State v. Benny R. Smith

The court, in a unanimous decision authored by Justice Carol A. Beier, affirms the defendant's Sedgwick County conviction of first-degree murder, which arose from the shooting death of Michelle Scott, Wichita.

Docket No. 91,878: In Re: Brenda M. Jordan

The court imposes published censure against a Manhattan attorney based on two complaints arising from her conduct while serving in the Riley County Attorney's Office in separate prosecutions.

Docket No. 91,077: In Re: E. Thomas Pyle III

The court imposes published censure against a McPherson attorney based on his representation in a personal injury case.
